Belongs to one of the 36 carboxylate clamp (CC)-tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) proteins (Prasad 2010, Pubmed ID: 20856808) with potential to interact with Hsp90/Hsp70 as co-chaperones. It also regulates tetrapyrrole biosynthesis through the accumulation of Mg-ProtoIX and acts as a negative regulator of photosynthesis associated nuclear gene expression during chloroplast biogenesis and development.
