available for download.

All files are zipped with gzip to reduce the size and thus increase download
time. To unzip a gzip file use 'gunzip' on unix, on windows systems use a program
like 7-zip (freeware).

proteins_Poplar_JGI.fasta.gz    Fasta-file containing the protein sequences of the 
                                latest release by JGI (Nov 2006) 
transcripts_Poplar_JGI.fasta.gz Fasta-file containing the transcript (mRNA) sequences
                                of the latest release by JGI (Nov 2006)
cds_Poplar_JGI.fasta.gz         Fasta-file containing the coding sequences (CDS) 
                                of the latest release by JGI (Nov 2006). This file is 
                                not from JGI, but has been locally created based on 
                                the proteins and the gene coordinates.
                                (if in the header line 'prot=ne' is present it means 
                                that the protein and the cds does not fully correspond.
 
Poplar_eug164_PROT.tfa.bz2      Fasta-file containing the protein sequences as predicted 
                                by EuGene on the poplar genome (Oct 2006)
Poplar_eug164_CDS.tfa.bz2       Fasta-file containing the cds sequences as predicted
